Poland Shuts Down KSeF 1.0 Testing and Sets Roadmap for KSeF 2.0
On 1 September 2025, Poland’s Ministry of Finance officially shut down the KSeF 1.0 test environment. As a result, taxpayers and software providers can no longer carry out testing on the current version. New users who want to start using KSeF must wait until the launch of the updated KSeF 2.0 test system at the end of September.
Current users may continue using the production version of KSeF 1.0 until the maintenance break in January 2026. After this period, the platform will be phased out entirely and replaced with KSeF 2.0.
Roadmap Toward KSeF 2.0
The Ministry has set out the following transition schedule to give businesses time to adapt:
- 1 September 2025 – Shutdown of the KSeF 1.0 test environment
- 30 September 2025 – Launch of the KSeF 2.0 test environment with open API testing
- 15 October 2025 – Pre-production (DEMO) environment available for integration
- 1 November 2025 – KSeF certificates available for download
- 26–31 January 2026 – Scheduled technical break and final closure of the KSeF 1.0 production system
- 1 February 2026 – Official nationwide rollout of KSeF 2.0
